Nederland steam shovel bucket heads east for Panama Canal exhibit

The vintage steam shovel that for the last nine years has sat outside the Nederland Mining Museum took a long, circuitous route to the small Boulder County mountain town. On Tuesday, the 3-ton bucket belonging to the steam shovel began a long journey of its own.
