Colorado Springs is cleaning out retention ponds

Summer is coming and so is flood season. The city of Colorado Springs is working hard to reduce the chance for deadly flooding on the west side of the city. To make sure that the water doesn't rise when heavy rain falls, the city is removing the sediment that has built up in the retention ponds that it has built since flooding in late 2013.
