Today’s Legend of Auburn, Carmen Bertonica, is known to many Auburnians as the former detective, and later assistant police chief. He was also instrumental for his investigation of the Julie Monson murder case. Carm, at the young age of 17, became a Golden Gloves Champion, and he is a proud member of the Auburn Boxing Hall of Fame.
