Jackson Police Department officers were seen surrounding the woods near Woodrow Wilson Avenue and Pleasant Avenue. Officials said police were in pursuit of two suspects who fired shots at officers before running into the woods. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. K-9 units were called to the scene to help subdue the suspects. No other information has been released at this time.
