Colorado Times: For today's #tbt, I return to last winter and my birthday trip to the Stanley Hotel, in Estes Park, CO. While it wasn't the location for the filming of The Shining, it was the inspiration for Stephen King's amazing book. It really isn't as spooky as it's made out to be either - as long as you don't count the noises my wife heard in our room (yes, noises IN our room - and no, I'm a heavy sleeper, so I didn't hear them). Definitely want to go again!
