Red Sox Activate Carp, Option Herrera to Pawtucket
The Boston Red Sox today activated first baseman/outfielder Mike Carp from the 15-day disabled list. To make room for him on the 25-man roster, infielder Jonathan Herrera was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket.
