Jack's Abby beer dinner tonight at 51 Lincoln in Newton

When I began writing about beer in 1993 it was a struggle to get top chefs and food editors to take beer seriously. Times have changed dramatically, of course. These days, few food lovers take a chef or restaurateur seriously if they don't have a serious beer list, at least here in Boston. Great beer now abounds at the city's best restaurants.
