What the Keystone pipeline debate is really about

President Obama’s indefinite delay of the proposed Keystone XL pipeline continues to mystify me. I have heard commentators call the delay “absurd,” “irresponsible” and worse. A project with obvious benefits to the Western Hemisphere, the United States and even Colorado is held hostage by politics.
