Approximately 2,000 people from 21 states, including Alaska, California, Texas, Utah, Nevada and Colorado, participated in the Rock CF Rivers half marathon, two-person relay and 5-kilometer run/walk event March 30 on the island. The Rock CF organization was founded and is led by Emily Schaller of Grosse Ile Township, one of the estimated 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis.
