On Tuesday in Denver, the Senate Transportation Committee voted unanimously to approve House Bill 1021, the bill that would increase the fine imposed on drivers of commercial vehicles who violate a road closure or restriction on Independence Pass. The bill still needs to go through second and third readings on the Senate Floor, which could happen as soon as this week.
